About the event
Calling all current and past Highfieldians and their guests!
Our annual Highfield Summer Event, Highfest, returns for 2024, and it's even bigger and better than last year!
As you know, Highfest is run by the Families of Highfields, for Highfields Families. It is not an event the school manage, although we are delighted to have their support. All profits raised this year will go towards buying a replacement Highfields school bus. A huge thank you to Streets Chartered Accountants for sponsoring Highfest this year!
Naturally, Highfest can only be a success if all our families get involved by attending Highfest and volunteering to ensure the event is the best it can be for everyone. This year, we would ask all Highfield families to volunteer to spend an hour or two on one of our many stalls, from the Highfest Bar to the Pimms Bar, Festival Shop, Activity Workshops and more. They say it "takes a village to raise a child", and the same adage works for Highfest: it takes all our families to make a fun festival!
So, why not join us for a weekend of scrumptious food, delightful entertainment, and fun activities with your friends and family under A Summer Solstice? We have chosen this theme because the Summer Solstice falls on Thursday, June 20th, only a few days after Highfest 2024.
Throughout Saturday, we will host various events inspired by the Summer Solstice and Midsummer Day, which falls on Monday, 24th June. The entertainment will include three live bands throughout the day and early evening, together with a play.
A highlight for all our families will be a performance of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream in the late afternoon by Splats Entertainment. The kids can participate as the supporting cast, with roles ranging from fairies to cats, donkeys, and more! The show should be fun and exciting for all the children, whether they enjoy it as participants or audience members.
Various Midsummer and Solstice Workshops have also been arranged, focussing on potion making, circus skills, mask making (for roles in the afternoon play) and a magic show. We will also offer A Midsummer Night's Dream Workshop hosted by Starlight Theatre Academy (a separate event from the A Midsummer Night's Dream evening performance from Splats Entertainment), where children can work on their theatre skills.
If you'd like to make the most of Highfest 2024, why not bring a tent so you can stay up late into the night singing songs around our campfire? Awaken, Sunday morning on Highfield's beautiful grounds to a delicious cooked breakfast? We will have a "Father's Day Special" Breakfast available on Sunday for kids to buy as a 'breakfast in bed option".
For those without tents or campervans or less keen on setting up a tent, consider booking a glamping tent this year. Teepee Tent Hire has assembled a package of different-sized glamping tents to suit your party size and budget. The full-service packages include the tent and bedding hire, set up, and take down. You can learn more details and book online from Teepee Tent Hire here.
As is our tradition, your entry ticket covers all the live entertainment, most children's activities, competitions, the cinema experience, and campfire sing-a-long. Explore the list of ticket options below, including our new Family Ticket.
Additional pay-as-you-go services include our Highfest Bar, Brewery Bar, Pimms Tent, Festival Shop, Activity Workshops, Food Trucks, Face Painting and much more!

All Highfest tickets are available to purchase here on the FFH website.
Standard Ticket sales will close on Friday, 14th June 2024, and tickets will not be available on the day of Highfest. We do not sell tickets on the day of Highfest to reduce the administration load on volunteers.
All Kid Tickets must be accompanied by an Adult Ticket, as children may not attend Highfest unsupervised due to insurance restrictions and standard health and safety requirements. If you would like your child to attend Highfest without you, please arrange to have another Adult take responsibility for your child on the day by having them purchase the Kid Ticket on your behalf. They can then agree directly to our T&Cs during the online purchase process.
This year, we charge an additional fee for families pitching a tent or using a van/caravan to stay overnight. The simple reason behind this change is that we employ security and first responders throughout the night and also provide porter loos for overnight guests, which comes at an additional cost. The new pitch fee will go towards covering those additional costs.
We have also added a new Family Ticket option listed below.
