​There are lots of ways to support FFH – and many of them won’t cost you a penny.

While we’re always incredibly grateful for direct donations and sponsorship, there are also simple ways you can help us raise additional funds through everyday spending, workplace schemes or by giving your time.

 

Easy Ways to Support FFH

• Shop & Raise Funds

There are websites and shopping schemes that donate a percentage of what you spend directly to FFH when you shop with participating retailers. There’s no additional cost to you – you simply shop as normal and FFH receives a donation.

• Workplace Match Funding

Many employers offer match-funding schemes, where they will match some or all of the money an employee helps to raise for a registered charity. If your employer offers a scheme like this, your involvement in an FFH event could help us significantly increase the amount raised.

• Employer Volunteering Days

Some companies allow employees to spend a set number of working days each year volunteering for a charity or community organisation while remaining on full pay. If this is something your employer offers, we’d be delighted to hear from you – an extra pair of hands at one of our events is always appreciated!

• Direct Donations & Sponsorship

Families, individuals and local businesses can also support FFH through direct donations or sponsorship. Every contribution helps us provide additional opportunities, activities and resources for the children at Highfields.

Where Your Money Goes​​

​

Our aim this year is to contribute £1,000 per term towards extra-curricular activities, helping the school provide additional experiences and opportunities for pupils.

​

Any funds raised beyond this will be donated directly to the school when additional funding is requested or as part of our year-end contribution.

 

We’re committed to keeping fundraising simple, inclusive and manageable, supporting Highfields without placing unnecessary financial pressure on families.

 

What Your Support Has Helped Us Achieve

​

Over the years, the generosity of Highfields families, volunteers, sponsors and supporters has enabled FFH to contribute towards a huge range of projects and activities, including:

​

• £40,000 towards a new school bus

• £8,000 towards new technology for pupils

• £4,500 towards repairs to the Sports Hall roof

• £3,250 for a five-year Kitt Medical Allergy contract, including onsite kits, staff training and maintenance

• £1,750 towards groundwork for the new school pond

• New musical instruments, including trombones, and PE equipment

• New signage at the school gates

• A new megaphone for school sporting events

• Plants and wildlife habitats for the school pond area

• First Aid courses for selected school forms

• Transport for the school pantomime

• School discos and Christmas activities

• Support for Year 6 Leavers’ fundraising

 

FFH also successfully secured a 50% grant towards a school defibrillator, reducing the cost from £1,800 to £900. FFH and Highfields School then each contributed £450 towards the remaining balance.

 

We also organised a sponsored read with Usborne Books, with pupils raising £1,220. This was matched through the scheme, resulting in £2,440 worth of new books for Highfields.

 

Every event you attend, item you donate, hour you volunteer and pound you help us raise contributes to what FFH can give back to our school.
